We’ve recently learned of the work of interior designer Mar Silver and her masterful use of big art has captured our attention, as has her sensory approach to design. Pale color palettes, a mix of enticing textures and the visual appeal of beguiling artwork—all are integral parts of the captivating interiors she envisions and then brings to life.
We hope you will enjoy eight of the rooms this designer has created for her (very fortunate) clients. We are enchanted by her insightful and stunning use of big art in these spaces.
A master bedroom with pale hues and simple lines evokes a sense of family with this captivating drawing at the head of the bed.
Touching the heart and the artistic eye, the art in this inviting dining room has enormous visual impact.
Even the kitchens Mar Silver designs are sometimes turned into small art galleries. We love this black and white piece.
A tribute to pop culture, this floor to ceiling piece is captivating with its show of emotion. It’s a wonderful addition to a modern home office.
Massive photographic art fills the walls of this modern media room.
The designer recently realized one of her dreams when she opened her first design gallery in Westport, Connecticut, fittingly called Mar Silver. “This is a dream come true for me,” says Mar Silver. “I’m thrilled to have my own design gallery as an exciting extension of my work. The Gallery will constantly evolve and change, and reflect my take on modern design, with every piece personally selected or created by me. Just like the homes I design, expect the unexpected. There will be plenty of surprises to hopefully inspire you on an ongoing basis.”
After seeing the art-filled sanctuaries she has created for her clients, we’re excited to learn her gallery also includes “a stunning art collection, both from emerging and established artists.”
