Designed by renowned Finnish designer Mikko Laakkonen. The design of the YUE chair makes a tribute to Chinese traditional calligraphy. YUE chair's top arc design fits the back of the human body. It is created in a graceful line, combining the solid wood bending technic. The connotation of YUE represents family reunion in the Chinese culture since ancient times.

Born in Espoo in 1974, today Mikko Laakkonen is an award-winning designer. First graduating as a musical instrument maker, he went on to study furniture design, obtaining a master's degree from the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. In 2004, Laakkonen found his own studio, and now designs furniture for brands such as Dohaus.
