Background and career
Tanju Ozelgin was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1962. His innate talents and skill in designing was cultivated when he studied at the University of Marmara, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Industrial Design where he graduated in 1984. By 1987, he founded his first company, his design office “Scala”. Over the years up to 1996, he designed and worked hard for Scala, including creating for fair stands, yachts, showrooms, houses, offices, private presentation night concepts, and furniture and industrial products.

Never one to rest on his laurels, even after accomplishing so much, he co-founded and worked with “IN Furniture”. Always an initiator, he also founded the “Parlak Kirmizi Design Studio” with Ertan Binme. Here, his repertoire was further enhanced since he was able to dabble at interior design projects and applications; development of industrial products; and digital and video graphics.
In 2005, he built his own brand, “T.O.” which showcases his industrial product designs and projects of interior design.
Today, his collaboration with B & T Design, the dynamic husband and wife team of Bahar and Talip Aysan, has made Tanju Ozelgin’s creations more accessible to the masses. His stunning designs featured on 212Concept include the mentioned Durgu Sofa and the Morph Sofa.
Durgu Sofa

Morph Sofa
With a cunning resemblance to the Durgu Sofa, Olzegin’s Morph Sofa is casual-looking, equally gorgeous and very inviting. Designed to give comfort and beauty to its users and surroundings, respectively, this sofa is perfect for an eclectic, modern or contemporary style décor because of its structure, design and girth.
Just like the Durgu Sofa, the Morph Sofa is made of polyurethane bedding that is injection molded into a metal frame. It also comes in fabric, leather and eco-leather upholstery. Also available in one, two, three and four-seater versions.
