The Croatian - Austrian design collective Numen / For Use, a collaborative effort by Sven Jonke, Christoph Katzler and Nikola Radeljkovic, came into being in 1998. Designing contemporary furnishings and interior/exterior spaces, the trio has created concepts and objects for the likes of Cappellini, ClassiCon, Desalto and Prostoria.
Awards
The group’s award-winning designs include the innovative Revolve Sofa Bed, which won the 2012 RedDot Design Award. Most recently, their retro-esque Polygon Armchair captured the coveted Interior Innovation Award for 2014. Also among their multifunctional and transformative furniture pieces is the Segment seating series for Prostoria.
Prostoria website shares this about these creatives, “Numen/ForUse are the only Croatian contemporary product designers whose works are regularly represented in global anthologies of contemporary design.”
